Piper Chapman enters her second year with the Rhode Island
women’s basketball program in 2013-14. In July, she was
promoted to assistant director of basketball operations after
spending the 2012-13 season at the team's video coordinator.
, after spending the previous four years as member of Eastern Connecticut State women’s basketball team. There, she captained the team as a senior and twice helped guide her squad to the NCAA Division III Tournament (2009, 2010). She also helped her team to three Little East Conference Tournament titles as well as three Tip Off Tournament Titles.
Prior to her arrival in Kingston, Chapman spent two years as an event staff supervisor for the Eastern Connecticut State athletics department. She also interned with the International Tennis Hall of Fame, where she helped develop and execute marketing plans as a member of the mobile marketing team.
Chapman also has volunteered with a variety of organizations,
including basketball clinics, food drives, and the Student-Athlete
Advisor Committee (SAAC).
A native of Portsmouth, R.I., Chapman earned her undergraduate degree in Sports and Leisure Management from ECSU in 2012.
