KINGSTON, R.I. — Rising junior forward Hassan Martin is participating as a camp counselor at adidas Nations Global 2015 - a four-day event held July 31-Aug. 3 in Long Beach, Calif.
A 2014-15 All-Atlantic 10 Second Team pick, Martin is one of 30 of the country's top collegiate players participating as counselors. A multi-faceted international curriculum featuring NBA coaches and players, the college counselors will provide invaluable insight and first-hand knowledge to the participants, illustrating the pressures, rigors and challenges that accompany the rise of any aspiring basketball star.
The college counselors are also divided into teams in a separate part of the camp and hold their own games. Martin is part of Team Clippers, along with Evan Payne (Long Beach State), Buddy Hield (Oklahoma), Zach Auguste (Notre Dame), Amida Brimah (Connecticut), and four UCLA student-athletes - Thomas Welsh, Bryce Alford, Issac Hamilton, and Jonah Bolden.
