KINGSTON, R.I.
- Rhode Island has earned a double bye and will be the No. 3 seed at the 2020 Atlantic 10 Men's Basketball Championship. This year's tournament is back at the Barclay's Center in Brooklyn, N.Y.

The Rams will play at 8:30 p.m. Friday on NBCSN against a yet-to-be-determined opponent. No. 11 George Washington and No. 14 Fordham will play an opening-round game Wednesday afternoon. The winner of that game goes against No. 6 Duquesne on Thursday at 8:30 p.m.

During the regular season, Rhode Island was 3-0 in games against its potential quarterfinal opponents. URI defeated Duquesne at home, 77-55, on Jan. 22; won 82-51 at George Washington on Feb. 8, and it beat Fordham on the road, 76-75, on Feb. 26.

Over its last three appearances at the Atlantic 10 Championship, Rhode Island is 7-2 and has reached at least the semifinals all three years. The Rams have won at least two games for three straight trips in the tournament.

Dayton - which is ranked No. 3 in the country - will be the top seed in the tournament. Also earning double byes were second-seeded Richmond and fourth-seeded Saint Louis.

The winner of the Atlantic 10 Championship will receive the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
