How It Happened
Saint Louis opened the game on a 10-0 run and never let Rhode Island (11-17, 5-11 A-10) back in the game, as the Rams fell 77-60 Saturday afternoon.

After Saint Louis (23-6, 13-3 A-10) scored the first 10 points, Rhode Island fought back to cut the deficit to 16-11. That was as close as the score got the rest of the way, as the Billikens ended the run on an 8-3 run to get it back to a 10-point advantage. Saint Louis held Rhody at bay the rest of the way, pulling away late in the fourth quarter.

  • Senior Symone Bullard finished with 17 points, including 13 before the break. Bullard also had five assists. 
  • Senior Brianna Thomas scored seven points, all in the first half. With Bullard and Thomas leading the way, the Ram bench scored 22 of the team's 35 first-half points.

Rhode Island will go to the Atlantic 10 Championship in Richmond, Va. Official bracket seeds will be announced later this weekend, but it appears the Rams will be the No. 10 seed, playing against No. 7 Saint Joseph's next Thursday. Game time would be 4:30 p.m.
