A Laura Perez 3-pointer in the second pushed the Ram's lead to five (19-14) with 5:28 left in the half. The rest of the quarter play was back and forth, but a Katie Turner trey put the Cats up 26-23 to go into the break.

The Rams got their largest lead of the game in the third after a Dina Motrechuk layup made the score 43-33. The Cats wouldn't let up, scoring the final four points of the quarter, cutting the Ram's lead to six.

The Wildcat relentless offense continued in the fourth, as they scored seven points in the first minute of the period to establish a one point lead (44-43). However that was as close as the Wildcats could get, as Davida Dale scored eight points at the free throw line down the stretch to seal the victory.
